Louis Vuitton introduces the Alpine-themed Resort 2023 men’s capsule collection Snow. A snowboard enthusiast himself, Virgil Abloh, Artistic Director of Men’s Collections, has researched the relationship between sportswear and casual necessities throughout his work at the Maison. “We live in a time when Parisian businessmen are turning into weekend warriors in Gstaad, where everyone is testing their limits, and our awareness of ourselves and our environment has increased. That’s why we expect designs to come to life, be multifunctional, and serve a purpose that goes far beyond the obvious.” lyrics reveal the purpose of the collection.
Established on performance and diversity, the ‘Snow’ collection absorbs the codes of ski clothing to create a functional urban wardrobe. Heat resistance degrees of clothing at the production stage; it is reinforced through light-density fillings, yarns and nylons, allowing the pieces to adapt to both the alpine and metropolitan climate.
In addition to the knit hats, the Louis Vuitton logo braided headband visor and the snowboard boot designed with an artisanal ski wear workshop serve as a defining accessory in the collection. The boots, which are available in black and white, extend from the mountain slopes to the streets and take their place in the collection as both daily and durable mountain sports items.
