Designer Raf Simons announced that he is closing his company of the same name. Just a few months ago, the designer, who held a show in London, announced on Instagram that we will say goodbye to her brand after 27 years.
Simons shared a heartfelt message to those who have worked for him over the years and those who believe in him. His fans and followers were quick to send messages of support.
āThe SS23 collection is the result of an extraordinary 27-year journey and the final season of the Raf Simons fashion brand,ā he wrote. āI don’t have the words to share how proud I am of everything we’ve accomplished. I am grateful for the incredible support from my team, collaborators, press and buyers, friends and family, loyal fans and loyal followers.ā

“Thank you all for always believing in our vision and believing in me.”
The designer did not go into any details as to why he chose to close the company or what his future plans might be.
The brand’s last fashion show took place in October at Printworks in Surrey Quays, London, where the SS23 collection was presented. The show was delayed from its original date during London Fashion Week after the Queen passed away.
Simons founded the brand of the same name in 1995, with various works he conducted at major fashion houses such as Jil Sander, Dior, and Calvin Klein. In 2020, he was announced as Prada’s co-creative director along with Miuccia Prada. It is now considered a position to continue.
