What does fashion mean to you?
In my opinion, fashion is no longer a ‘phenomenon’ that dictates what people should wear, as it used to be… On the contrary, it is a concept that takes all its inspiration from the spirit of time and that describes the ‘moment’ beyond being an expression of consumption.
Who is your favorite among global brands/designers?
I admire the fact that Valentino carries the identity of a classic couture brand, a ‘maison’ and reflects the spirit of the street to the collections moment by moment.
Is there a local brand you have discovered recently?
There are many local brands that I admire. Most of them are exhibited in Beymen.
White shirt, 629 TL, BEYMEN
Was there a piece that you said “I won’t wear” and that you liked afterwards?
Leopard. I think many women who like to follow fashion would agree with me on this. Leopard has turned into a pattern that I love to use with different color and shape versions, especially with black/ecru. I like leopard coat reviews from French brands such as Maje and Sandro.
What are your must-have accessories?
Portfolio bags. I think they look as cool as they are practical. I use the classics and their striking colors, and I keep the ones made of non-leather materials (cotton, straw, bamboo) at hand in summer.
Portfolio bag, 9450 TL, SAINT LAURENT
The most precious piece of your closet?
My dear friend Hikmet Mizanoğlu has an exquisite kimono archive in his shop in Çukurcuma. These are products that he researched and found in Tokyo and collected from very special shops. She gifted one to me last week, and this vintage hand-stitched kimono is by far my most prized possession.
Best style advice you’ve ever received?
“You have to stay calm”.
Boots, 17.950 TL, BOTTEGA VENETA
Which perfume do you use?
Portrait of a Lady (Frederic Malle) is a perfume that I have been using since fi. When it gets bad, my essentials are always Diptyque Do Son and Santa Maria Novella Firenze!
Perfume, 5935 TL, FREDERIC MALLE
