Versace’s “La Vacanza” Collection, inspired by the spirit of summer vacation, meets fashion lovers at the pop-up opened in Beymen Mandarin Oriental Bodrum.
Collaboratively designed by the famous singer Dua Lipa and Donatella Versace, the “La Vacanza” Women’s Collection covers all product groups ranging from the indispensable beach products of the season to evening dresses, evening dresses and accessories. Reinterpreting the Versace collections of the late 1990s and early 2000s and inspired by the high luxury understanding of the period, the collection brings Dua Lipa’s unique perspective together with the reference points of the Versace archives.
Buckled bralettes, dresses and men’s vests in the collection refer to the meticulous craftsmanship of the Versace 1992 Autumn-Winter Collection. Knotted jerseys, inspired by the 1995 Spring-Summer Atelier Versace Collection, interpret body lines in new and surprising forms. The “nastro Gianni” band details on the chest of the dresses are inspired by the 2003 Spring-Summer Collection. Metallic mesh designs are reminiscent of the ’90s supermodel era.
Butterfly and ladybug motifs, one of the archival patterns of the brand, used for the first time in the 1995 Spring-Summer Collection, featuring Claudia Schiffer and Nadja Auermann, are reinterpreted.
Greca Goddess bags and accessories, among the codes of the fashion house, take their place in the collection with their new pastel colors. The classic Versace hobo bag draws attention with its new dimensions, new buckle, metallic leather and crystal details. Medusa and Greca charms are stacked with references from the Versace supermodel style of the 1990s. On the shoes, heeled sandals and boots with band detail and butterfly decoration; ‘”nastro Gianni” stitched cage-like heels; Butterfly embroidered and metal toe cowboy boots stand out.
The men’s collection, which is the continuation of the Versace 2023 Fall-Winter Collection, is reinterpreted with lighter fabrics for summer. Vests with buckle details and inner pockets; Patterned silk gabardine, hand-woven cotton fabric and white denim suits offer impressive looks. Cork-soled sandals, slippers with Medusa Penny moccasin details and Odissea shoes with Greca embroidered laces add elegance to designs.
