Mosaic cake, which is among the most preferred cakes with its easy preparation and taste, is consumed as soon as it is made, especially in families with children. The basic ingredient of the mosaic cake, which dates back to Sicily, is petibor biscuit. Fruit flavors are used to increase the flavor of the cake prepared without baking. Mosaic cake, which is not enough to eat slices, especially during tea hours, is a food that provides calcium support. You will often want to make the mosaic cake, which offers a perfect taste in every moment of life, in both hot and cold weather, at five o’clock or after dinner, along with coffee and tea.

The easiest mosaic cake

  • You do not have to consume the biscuit mosaic cake immediately after preparing it. If you wish, you can prepare your cake a few days before your guests arrive and store it in the freezer, wrapped in cling film.



2 packs of biscuits
Stretch film
125 grams of margarine or butter at room temperature
1 cup of milk at room temperature
3 tablespoons of cocoa
3 tablespoons of granulated sugar
100 grams dark chocolate
Half a glass of crushed walnuts

While preparing the biscuit mosaic cake, in the first step, start by making the chocolate sauce for the cake. For this, take 125 grams of butter or margarine in a large pan and melt it.

Then add 1 glass of milk and 3 tablespoons of cocoa and mix the mortar until it boils.

When it starts to boil, reduce the heat, add 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar and continue mixing.

Finally, add 100 grams of dark chocolate in pieces, mix and immediately remove from the stove.

Wait for the chocolate chips to melt on their own. Leave the chocolate sauce you cooked to cool and mix it once in a while.

In the second step, break 2 packs of Pötibör biscuits into a deep bowl with your hands. However, be careful not to break the biscuits too much while crushing, because the biscuits will appear as mosaics in the cake.

Then, pour the chocolate sauce you prepared on the biscuits you broke.

Add half a glass of crushed walnuts on it and mix it carefully without crushing the biscuits.

While preparing the biscuit mosaic cake, in the last step, spread 30 cm of cling film on the kitchen counter.

Pour the biscuit mosaic cake mortar that you prepared beforehand on it.

Press the mortar you poured on the stretch into a pyramid shape by pressing it from the sides with your hands and wrap it well with cling film.

Then put your mosaic cake on a tray and leave it in the freezer for about 3 hours.

Take out your biscuit mosaic cake that you have kept in the freezer and serve by slicing.

If you wish, you can also decorate it with crushed pistachios or coconut.
