Dosa, which is the famous recipe of Indians, is very similar to crepe, which is indispensable for breakfast in Turkish cuisine. Dosa, which takes its flavor from the ingredients used in it, can be consumed either as bread or alone. So what is dosa and how is it made? How to prepare the famous dosa recipe of Indian cuisine?

There are some countries that attract the attention of the whole world with their culture. India is one of these countries. Because it is a place like no other in the world with its music, movies, streets, people and more importantly, its food. It is impossible to go to India and not admire its cuisine. When you say you are a vegetarian in India, you are considered a lacto-vegetarian, meaning a vegetarian who consumes milk and dairy products. Since vegetarians in India do not eat eggs, they are familiar with eggless baking methods for all kinds of pancakes, cakes and desserts. The daso recipe that we will give you today is one of the specialties of Indian cuisine. This pancake can be eaten with meals, or it can be consumed alone (with sambar and Indian ketchup chaatni) for breakfast.

DOSA RECIPE:

MATERIALS

3 measuring cups white rice
1/4 measuring cup brown rice
1 measuring cup of dried kidney beans
1 teaspoon fenugreek seeds
1/2 measuring cup of milk
juice of 1/2 lemon
salt
oil for cooking

FABRICATION

Take the milk in a glass bowl, add the lemon juice and keep it aside to curdle the milk.

Mix the rice and soak it in water for at least 2-3 hours.

In the same way, soak the cowpea in a separate bowl with fenugreek seeds for 2-3 hours.

Then, first pass the rice with its juice, then the cowpea with fenugreek juice separately, and turn it into a liquid slurry. Then combine these two separate slurries in one bowl and mix.

Mix the slurry with the curdled milk. Add as much salt as you want. Then take it to the pan with a ladle and cook one by one.
