The names that will compete for the award at the 65th Grammy Awards have been announced. The show will take place on February 5 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
Beyonce has received the most nominations with nine nominations. The singer also drew with her husband, Jay-Z, for the most nominations received by any musician in award history, with 88 nominations.
Kendrick Lamar took second place with 8 nominations. Adele and Brandi Carlile were nominated in 7 categories. Harry Styles, Mary J. Blige, Future, DJ Khaled, producer and songwriter The Dream received 6 nominations each.
At the show this year, Beyoncé and Adele will face off in the main categories, just as they competed for album of the year in 2017. Adele broke her own Grammy nomination record with 7 nominations in one year.
BTS, on the other hand, broke the K-Pop Grammy record by being nominated 5 times in total with 3 nominations this year. Doja Cat became the most nominated female rapper in Grammy history with a total of 16 nominations.
Bad Bunny’s Spanish album was nominated for “Album of the Year”. For the first time, a Spanish-language album entered this category and made history.
Latto, Anitta, Gayle, GloRilla, and Kim Petras all received their first Grammy nominations.
