The nominees for the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards have been officially announced! Taylor Swift, who made VMA history by winning the ‘Video of the Year’ award three times, received 8 nominations by writing her name in gold letters to this year’s awards, as always. After Taylor Swift, who has the most nominations, comes SZA, who received six award nominations with her second studio album ‘SOS’. Doja Cat, Olivia Rodrigo, Nicki Minaj, Miley Cyrus and Sam Smith received 5 nominations, while Blackpink and Shakira received 4 nominations.
This year’s list of MTV VMA nominees also broke records with first-time nominations. 35 artists received their first VMA nominations, along with names like Ice Spice, GloRilla, Kim Petras and Reneé App.
