BACK TO THE ESSENCE OF PILOT HOURS

Longines Pilot Majetek brings together historical experiences and modern touches without ignoring the aesthetic and technical codes of the 21st century. The bi-directional fluted bezel placed on the pillow-shaped steel case reveals the original character of the watch, while evoking the 1935 model that inspired this piece.

The curved pillow-shaped case of the first version of the watch underlines its unique design, which was registered on April 1, 1935 at the International Industrial Property Office in Bern, Switzerland. Although this watch is designed for aviators; It also attracted the attention of a large audience looking for a reliable, robust, precise and easy-to-read piece.

The technical and ergonomic features of the new Longines Pilot Majetek have been completely changed. Its reworked proportions, original slightly curved pillow shape and rounder antlers keep up with today’s trends.

There is a commemorative plate with the inscription “1935” at the 9 o’clock position outside the screwed-back steel case. This article describing the release date of the first Longines ā€œMajetekā€ model hides the newly patented gear mechanism. The external fluted rotating bezel, accompanied by the luminous and movable triangular marker or the ā€œStart time indicatorā€ on the inside, guarantees the water resistance of the system to 10 bar (100 m).

Independent of the sapphire crystal, the chronograph is located below the crystal and above the dial. In the 1935 model, the bezel and the pointed crystal rotate as a whole, while the sapphire glass fixed in the current model contributes to the water resistance of the new case.

Like other watches specially designed for aviators, the new Longines Pilot Majetek features a matte black dial for optimum legibility. It shows watches with a white bezel coated with vintage radium-effect Super-LumiNovaĀ®, highlighted by a rail-type minute index.

Rhodium-tipped baton-type hands move over them. Phosphorus hands ensure optimum readability at night. The lowered oversized small seconds dial at the 6 o’clock position of the dial, together with the fluted bezel, evokes the original functional character of this pilot’s watch. The watch is an epitome of elegance with its well-balanced overall effect.

Powered by the special Longines L893.6 caliber equipped with a magnetic resistance silicon balance spring, the new Longines Pilot Majetek has a power reserve of 72 hours. The watch carries the chronometer certificate issued by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC), an independent control organization. At the same time, it stands out with its two straps offered in brown and dark green leather options with beige stitching details. In addition, it has a khaki green NATO type strap made from recycled materials. With its strong character, Longines Pilot Majetek appears as an ideal piece for both daily use and adventures anytime, anywhere.
