The film Kuru Otlar Üstüne focuses on the experiences of young teacher Samet, who is doing his compulsory service in a remote village in Anatolia, after meeting Nuray during the pessimistic days when he was waiting for an assignment to Istanbul.

WHERE WAS THE FILM SHOOTED?
Nuri Bilge Ceylan, who stated that they traveled a lot to find a location for the shooting of the film, said that they shot in the villages around Karayazı district of Erzurum. Each scene was shot in a different village and presented as a single location in the montage.
