WHAT ARE THE VACCINATIONS FOR BABIES?

1- BCG (TB) Vaccine

BCG vaccine is the only tuberculosis vaccine currently in use in the world. It is a live attenuated vaccine. This vaccine is administered in countries with a high prevalence of tuberculosis. It is applied at the end of the 2nd month in our country. It is applied intradermally to the left shoulder.

2- Diphtheria, Tetanus and Pertussis (DTB)
Diphtheria (D) May cause difficulty in breathing. Heart failure is a disease that can lead to paralysis or death. Tetanus (T) Causes painful stiffening of the muscles. Tetanus can cause serious health problems, including difficulty swallowing and breathing, or death, including the inability to open the mouth. Whooping cough (aP) May cause severe uncontrollable coughing. It makes it difficult to breathe, eat or drink. Hib (Haemophilus influenzae type b) disease.

3- Hemophilus Influenzae Type B
What can be caused by many different types of infections. These infections usually affect children under the age of 5. Hib bacteria can cause mild illness such as ear infections, while bronchitis or sepsis (bloodstream infection) can cause severe illness.

4- Hepatitis B
Hepatitis B is a liver disease. Acute hepatitis B infection is a short-term illness that can cause fever. Fatigue, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, jaundice (yellow skin or eyes, dark urine, clay-colored stools) happens. Chronic hepatitis B infection is long-term It is a very serious disease that can cause liver damage. Cirrhosis of liver cancer and death.

5- Polio (Polio)
Polio is caused by the polio virus. Most children have no symptoms with the infected polio virus, but some will have a sore throat, fever, fatigue, nausea, headache, or stomach pain. A smaller group develops more severe symptoms. It affects the brain and spinal cord in children. Severe polio causes permanent disability and, in rare cases, death.

6- Pneumococcal Vaccine
Bacteria called pneumococci cause pneumonia (lung infection), ear infections, sinus infections, meningitis and bacteremia (bloodstream infection). Most pneumococcal infections are mild, but some cause problems such as long-term brain damage or hearing loss.

Hepatitis A, Measles, rubella, mumps and varicella vaccines are given after the first year. In addition, there are vaccines that are not included in the national vaccination calendar, but that we recommend for our children abroad and in our country.

1st class vaccine

WHAT IS THE 1st CLASS VACCINE?

The 2nd dose of MMR (Measles, Rubella, Mumps) vaccine and the booster dose of DaBT-IPA (Diphtheria, Pertussis, Tetanus, Polio) vaccine are administered in the first grade of primary education. However, if your child is allergic to any drug, it should be reported to the school and the doctor should be consulted and vaccinated privately.

WHAT VACCINE IS APPLIED IN THE 8th CLASS?

It is a booster vaccine applied against Tetanus and Diphtheria patients described above. It is considered correct to apply in the 8th grade at the age of about 13 – 14 years.
